Journal Article Publication Process

Before submitting their articles for review and possible publication, authors should read through our journal article publication process:

  1. Each submitted paper goes through an initial plagiarism check using the CrossRef’s Similarity Check software powered by iThenticate’s Turnitin. Articles that contain a high percentage of plagiarised content of other published articles would be rejected.
  2. Articles that pass the plagiarism test will go through a double-blind peer review, this means that authors do not know the reviewers of their manuscripts and the author(s) details are also not disclosed to reviewers. Our double-blind review process takes about 4 to 12 weeks dependent on the co-operation of authors of submitted manuscripts. The double-blind review includes an initial blind pre-review process after which the article would be sent to authors to make revisions where necessary and resubmit for a final blind review. Authors would then receive a review report indicating if their manuscript has been accepted for publication or rejected. Read more on our Peer Review Process
  3. If your article is accepted, you would be required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC)  in order to continue the publishing process. There are no other processing fees; the editing, the DOI, the publication and online hosting are all covered by the APC. The APC remains the same no matter how many pages, authors, graphic content, etc. your article may have. Upon acceptance of a manuscript, the author(s) would be provided with further directions on our accepted modes of payments.
  4. After payment is confirmed through a text message or an email, the accepted article will be edited using our journal publishing format. Authors are allowed to make last updates to their articles before publication.
  5. The accepted article will then be published in the current issue of the selected journal.
  6. Authors would be sent a mail containing the publication link to download a soft-copy (PDF file) of their article. This serves as a confirmation that your article has been published.
  7. On request, after the issue is closed, hard copies of a section or of the entire issue may be printed and delivered to authors at a separate cost.
  8. All journal articles published with Noyam are indexed with CrossRef and digitally preserved with Portico.
  9.  All journal articles published with Noyam are Open Access and Authors will retain the copyright of their published articles agreeing that a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) terms will be applied to their work.
