Njabulo Sifiso Mthimkhulu is a lecturer in Voice and Vocal Pedagogy in the Department of Music and Performing Arts at Nelson Mandela University. He has more than nine years of teaching experience in higher education, specialising in classical voice, vocal pedagogy, ensemble direction, and African music history. He holds a Master of Music in Performance and a Performer’s Diploma in Music from Southern Methodist University in the United States, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma and Performer’s Diploma in Opera from the University of Cape Town. Mthimkhulu is an opera performer, chorus master, producer, researcher, and external examiner. He serves on the Department of Higher Education and Training Creative Outputs Evaluation Panel and reviews scholarly work for academic publishers and journals. His research interests include vocal pedagogy, language phonetics, artistic research, curriculum innovation, and graduate work-readiness.
