The book is an exposition on the theme, “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). Dealing with Colossian heresy, Paul called their teachings as vain deceit based on human tradition which denied Christ’s sufficiency and belittled the Christian hope in His finished work on the cross. People were stealing the hearts and minds of those who are believed to focus on worldly traditions. The book unveils some of the heretic comments and teachings in our day which cloud our hope of glory.
What is this Christian hope of glory? What must we do to keep hold of this glory? Many Christians have gone back to their old ways due to unanswered heretic questions posed against their faith in Christ. This is the reason this book welcomes you to journey through the entire book of Colossians. Rev. Ebenezer Ahenkan Owusu is an ordained Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG). He is currently the Minister-In-Charge of the Ashtown Congregation, Mbrom in the Kumasi District and also serving as the Public Relations Officer of the Asante Presbytery.
He holds a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) degree in Religious Studies from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, a Master of Divinity (M.Div) degree from Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon, a B.A. Education degree from the University of Education, Winneba, and a Diploma in Basic Education, from Wesley College of Education; an affiliate of the Univerity of Cape Coast. Other Certificates include a Certificate in Public Relations and Strategic Communication and Certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy from Presbyterian University, Ghana.
His passion is empowering Christians, especially the young ones, to fully mature in Christ. He is a licensed Counselor from the Ghana Psychology Council. He nurtures and empowers everyone through sound Biblical teachings for faith to transform society. His passion is to reach out to all souls for Christ, especially children and youth. The author understands that the Gospel must reach every soul without limitations but strongly believes in the discipling of souls won to form Christ in them rather than just making them members of a church.
