Fhatuwani Ravhuhali is a Senior Academic Development Practitioner and Head of the Academic Development Unit at the University of Venda. His work centres on academic staff development, student support and success, retention, and well-being in higher education. He has played a leading role in advancing institutional teaching and learning initiatives, including the New Academics Transitioning into Higher Education Project (NATHEP), through which he contributed to the conceptualisation and implementation of the University’s Needs-Based Induction (NBI) programme for new academics. He has also been instrumental in the Professionalisation of Undergraduate Academic Teaching (PUAT) project, supporting the enhancement of teaching quality and the professional development of university teachers.
